21st May – A Great Smoky Finale

Being the last day of the hike, and nearing the conclusion of the trip, we decided to take a half day’s hike to a waterfall called the Ramsey Cascades, an easy 4 mile round trip hike. The waterfall was approximately 6 storeys high. I totally enjoyed it and was playing with the resident salamanders in the water. Very slippery and hard to grasp. But fun to play with. We really got the best of everything there was to see at the Smokys. So soon after, we took a drive down to Harrisonburg which was on the outskirts of Washington DC to spend the night.

The Great Smoky Mountains was definitely good for the soul, for every man that walks through it’s doors would feel enlightened…and relieved of a burden..


All in all, the summer vacation was such an adventure…The majestic mountains, the sunny beaches, the lush forests, the waterfalls the magical and enchanting entertainment of Disney…unforgettable...And spending it with my lady…priceless…
